The BPR Conference (April 10, 2024, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM) is a free, 1-day scientific networking conference hosted by Akina, Inc. focusing on research companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical, and broader life-science fields. The conference is located at the Kurz Purdue Technology Center (KPTC), right in the heart of the Purdue Research Park, and is open to the public. This networking and scientific event allows Purdue Research Park companies and start-ups to meet with potential customers, investors, and collaborators, as well as, to get to know one another.
The 2024 BPR Conference will consist of a variety of speakers, including a keynote address by J. Paul Robinson, Distinguished Professor of Cytomics and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University, and tabletop booth displays.
Scientific Presentations
Registration is open to request a time slot to present a 20-minute presentation with a 10-minute Q&A. A title and abstract (50 words max) must be submitted to be considered. Speakers will have this title and abstract included in information about the conference.
Soapbox Presentations
Registration is open to request a time slot to present a 5-minute presentation. These should be short and concise presentations explaining who you are and what you provide or what you need. A title and a short 1 or 2-sentence abstract must be submitted to be considered. Accepted speakers will have this title included in information about the conference.
A limited number of tabletop booth spaces will be available that include a 6'x2' table and two chairs.
Registering to attend is not required, but includes the option of selecting a free Panera Bread lunch box compliments of Miftek, Inc.
Constructed in 2009, the 105,000-square-foot Kurz Purdue Technology Center is Purdue Research Park's flagship incubator and home to the Purdue Research Foundation main office. The building features five conference rooms, including a 150-person capacity, multi-media conference room with a full complement of professional presentation equipment; an electronic pass card security system; a kitchenette; and a dock equipped with a scissors lift.
